World Bank internship available to DC high-school seniors

I am so inspired by the work of The Urban Alliance. Until March 26th, Urban Alliance is accepting applications from high-school seniors for a summer internship with the World Bank—how awesome is that?!

I first met Veronica Nolan (Executive Director) at a local networking event through Washington Women’s Weekly and just loved how succinctly she articulated their mission: “We empower DC youth by connecting them with internships and employment opportunities throughout the city.”

100% of Urban Alliance students graduate high school on-time, 9 out of 10 enroll in college, and all students gain long-term work experience increasing their employability.

As an employer myself, I would love to provide internship opportunities to local youth, but would most definitely need/want the support and covering of a larger organization to be sure I’m investing in a constructive, helpful way with a student that’s really eager to learn and excel. That said, I will definitely consider becoming a Job Partner with UA.
